What is the weather like in Solang?
Winter temperatures (November to February) can be low and snowfall generous, but plentiful sunny days make for cool, mild, weather. In the summer, (March to June) expect abundant sunshine, and cool evenings.

Will I need a car while I'm in Solang?
Renting a car is recommended if you would like to take day trips to explore the region.  Most of the town can be covered by walk. Porters are available for carrying luggage during trekking. Self-drive in the mountains is only suggested for those familiar with the local roads and driving conditions

What are the restaurants like?
In Solang we recommend you dine at the inhouse restaurant at Iceland. The menu can be seen here. 13 km away, the town on Manali offers a wide array of dining possibilities, from upscale restaurants to more casual fare. South Indian , North Indian, Italian, Chinese, pizza and other exotic cuisines are also available here.

Are there winter activities besides skiing?
Our pre-arrival itinerary planning and local staff can help you arrange activities, including, camping, snow shoetrees and onward travel to Leh and Ladakh.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 12 noon. And check-out is at 10:00 a.m. You can request for early check-in or late check-out, which will be provided based on availability, either at no extra charge or based on half-day charge, depending on the situation at that time.

Will I receive daily housekeeping?
Yes. Daily housekeeping is included with all rooms.

Do you accommodate groups?
We can accommodate small groups. Please contact us for rates and availability.

Does the property have any meeting space?
The Iceland Hotel is able to host small meetings and events in our Alta Room, which can accommodate up to 18 people, seated and can be set up according to guest specifications. The adjoining Alta Deck offers spectacular views of the Village and surrounding mountains.
